I was born and raised in Dhaka, and spent my undergraduate years in St Andrews. I moved to London for work and grad school.
I spent some time in Bangalore in search of creative healing modalities and earned a license to practice as an Art Therapist (ICPEM, CTAA, SDCC.) I am currently the Creative Director of a mental health charity, where I continue this work through practice-based research in public health.
I was educated as an interdisciplinary artist, so my secondary line of work is writing for screen, stage, performance and literary publications, as a way of keeping my artistic practice alive until I can make the time to be be fully immersed back into it.
